pstrongJoin the MVT family Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring an Accounting Clerk in Las Cruces, NM./strong/p pAnstrong Accounting Clerk/strong compiles data and prepares invoices and bills by performing the following duties./p pstrongKey measures of success include:/strong/p ul liSynthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data./li liDemonstrates attention to detail, Identifying and solving problems in a timely manner./li liGather and analyze information and develop alternative solutions./li /ul pstrongResponsibilities: /strong/p ul liReviews scanned/indexed paperwork and creates invoices necessary to bill customers./li liRetrieves individual orders and makes certain that all paperwork necessary for bill is present./li liConfirms all bills of lading signatures to ensure proof of delivery./li liVerifies additional pick-ups and stop-offs; confirms proof of delivery./li liEnters bills of lading, piece counts, and freight weights in computer./li liVerifies the appropriate fuel rates, dollar amounts, identification numbers, and confirmation numbers./li liEnters missing documents on the computer./li liResolves discrepancies on scanned/indexed paperwork./li liContacts customers/sales personnel via phone or e-mail to resolve billing issues./li liAccounting Clerks may be required to occasionally work Sundays throughout the year./li liWork hours on Sunday may vary from two to eight hours, depending on the workload./li /ul pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul liHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least two related experiences and/or training./li liWrites clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; is able to read and interpret written information./li liDemonstrates attention to detail demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness./li liPrioritizes and completes administrative tasks correctly and on time./li liKnowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and AS400 software preferred./li /ul pstrongJob Benefits:/strong/p ul li401(k)/li liDental Insurance/li liHealth Insurance/li liLife Insurance/li liPaid Time Off/li liTuition Reimbursement/li liVision insurance/li /ul pstrongBenefit Conditions:/strong/p ul liOnly full-time employees are eligible./li /ul pMesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest.
