The City of Columbiana is seeking an individual to fill the position of Bookkeeper.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, the Bookkeeper, prepares deposits, reviews, codes and processes invoices and purchase orders for payment, and completes related clerical duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Completion of secondary education (high school) or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of six (6) months prior bookkeeping experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience necessary to perform essential functions of position.
*Proficient in the use of MS Office and Financial Management Software. (Software Solutions VIP Software is an ideal match)
*Excellent organizational skills.
*Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
*Must be bondable.

Wages are set by AFSCME contract. At the discretion of the Employer, a newly hired employee may be placed at a wage step commensurate with such employee's prior, certifiable experience.
