Are you a strategic financial leader ready to make a tangible impact?
Our well established and growing companies are the industry leaders in Residential and Commercial Overhead Doors, Commercial Roofing & Architectural Sheet Metal in the North Iowa & Southern Minnesota region.  We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. We are looking for a results-driven and detail orientated individual to guide our financial strategy and contribute to our continued growth and success.
About Us:
Our first company was established in Mason City IA in 1897.  To date we have grown to three corporations and seven total companies in three locations, Mason City IA, Albert Lea, MN and Rochester MN.  The upcoming retirement of our current President & CFO offers an excellent opportunity to join our next generation of owners and managers to assist in continuing the growth and excellence of our legacy businesses.
Responsibilities:
As our CFO, you will be a key strategic partner, responsible for:

  • Financial Leadership: Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing insightful analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Optimizing cash flow, managing working capital, and ensuring financial stability.
  • Contract Management & Project Accounting: Overseeing project costing, billing, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Team Leadership: Mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborating with executive leadership, project managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Technology Implementation: Leading the implementation and optimization of financial systems and technologies.
  • HR Benefit & Payroll: Participating and / or overseeing this process as required including ongoing review of employment law and legal requirements of Iowa & Minnesota.
  • Tax Planning: Participate and / or overseeing this process as required including ongoing review of tax law and requirements of Iowa & Minnesota.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relatable CFO experience
  • CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, a preference given for any work experience and understanding of the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.
  • Expertise in project accounting, contract management, and job costing.
  • Fundamental understanding of construction industry accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to learn, grow and develop within our industry and within our communities.
