Job Description

Beacon Hill Technologies , in collaboration with a leading client in the financial services industry, is seeking a skilled Copy Editor to support the Canada Marketing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality marketing materials in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Overview:

The Copy Editor will be a vital member of the marketing team, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across a variety of print and digital content. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in financial services or another regulated industry. While not required, the ability to review and edit French-language documents is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit marketing materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, stylistic consistency, and adherence to disclosure and regulatory requirements.

  • Cross-check facts and statistics against internal and external sources.

  • Recommend content edits based on audience needs and internal/external style guidelines.

  • Update quarterly/annual content, including statistical data and disclosure information, across digital and print materials.

  • Apply compliance language updates and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Use and maintain internal tools, the AP Stylebook, and the Chicago Manual of Style to ensure consistency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to manage schedules, track deliverables, and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional copyediting experience.

  • Proven experience in financial services, or similar regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or healthcare, is strongly preferred.

  • Strong command of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and familiarity with AP and Chicago styles.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.

  • Working knowledge of financial and investment terminology and concepts.

  • Ability to edit or review French-language documents is a plus, but not required.
