Job Summary and Qualifications Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the psychiatric patient under the direction of the RN. Works as a member of a team to assist with milieu management and performs job tasks to ensure personal, patient and departmental safety. Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, physicians, management, external and internal customers. Ensures timely and accurate communication of patient information with all members of the treatment team. Leads or Co-Leads the following groups: AM goal setting, PM wrap-up and diversionary. Assists Charge Nurses and Shift Supervisor in maintaining efficiency. Completes clerical responsibilities. Adheres to policies and procedures. Supports the Mission of the facility. Pursues and takes responsibility to enhance personal and professional growth. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Nonviolent Crisis Interv Inst, or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date This is a Full Time Day shift position LewisGale Hospital Pulaski has provided quality healthcare services since 1915.
