What Will You Be Doing?

As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the operation of a log crane, chipper/debarker, and other mobile equipment at our wood pellet manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining equipment and performing administrative functions to support Wood Yard operations.

Here’s a glimpse of your day-to-day duties:

• Operate and maintain equipment including log crane, wheel loaders, knuckleboom, skid steer, and man lift.
• Cross-train on all applicable heavy equipment operation as needed.
• Anticipate and diagnose problems, performing routine or preventive maintenance.
• Perform routine administrative functions and utilize checklists to maintain inventory and production reports.
• Keep your designated area clean and clear of safety hazards through housekeeping duties.

Who You Are

• Experience in wood/fiber procurement or the forest industry.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of operating industrial equipment experience.
• Ability to adapt to both team and independent working environments with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate, capable of performing simple tasks such as email and reviewing work documentation.
